Oyster - Oyster [Fukk God 037]
Oyster is Gregg Kowalsky (Osso Bucco) and Danny L.
This collaboration between the two Florida natives incorporates their use of layered textures with subtle melodies and harmonic undertones. At times thin and buoyant and other times heavy and dark, Oyster is searching for the sounds within sounds. Within the heavy drones are light melodic patterns, which travel in and out of each layer. Upon each listen of their tracks, the listener should discover something new, such as new frequencies and tones.

This is pretty much my favorite ambient release, next to Ctephins - LimitationsOvTone. I listen to this to fall asleep all the time. It really gives me the feeling of being opiated, with the long sustained chords flowing endlessly. Thanx for the killer release you guys.

I totally agree with the former reviewer. First two tracks are soft and gentle, the last two tracks turn a bit louder and darker. The end of the last track then suddenly turns a bit lighter again. When that static-like noise suddenly disappears it seems like you're bathed in a warm ray of light. Excellent melodic droning here.

soft melancholic drifting...the second half turns harder, louder and darker. Beautiful drone like work throughout with hints of melodies. Simply gorgeous.
