I love to make this music, which is why I made this music. Old records (for the most part children's) found in thrift stores, yard sales and flea markets were the main source of the material along with public domain drum loops, Internet WAV sites, TV shows and movies and much more. No drum machines, fancy samplers or sequencers were used on this project. Not one shred of original instrumentation, just 100% samples recorded with a basic PC microphone strategically placed up against my stereo speaker and two programs called Sound Recorder and GoldWave. There is so much material out there it can become quite staggering. Has everything been sampled? Not by a long shot. New sounds are found daily to splice, dice, collage and rework into new compositions. I've been handing out and leaving CDR copies of my work around my town hoping some innocent soul will pick them up and enjoy them and possibly drop a line and say hello.

Well-edited and compelling. Unlike many Negativeland-style efforts, this is punchy and musical - and considerably more entertaining than Negativeland. I love this stuff. Post more of it, and I'll download and enjoy more of it. beware-the-mailman is the best!
I just found this part of the Prelinger site and I didn't know there was a free public outlet for this kind of audio after the original version of MP3.COM was shut down. This is great - - -

I listened to this for mental, sonic excercise. It is good to listen to creative soundscapes and new arrangements of sound. It's engaging. Will I listen to this a bunch of times? No. But it was worth checking out tonight, and I'd listen to another composition by this artist in the future - as well as take inspiration for my own work with audio mixes and my radio show. I dig this, FortyOne.

This is a must for all fans of thrift store recordings. Just beautiful. There is more where this came from. Just ask him!

Incredibly entertaining. As someone who combs thrift stores for strange records I really appreciate the effort.
