Remora - reversion (July 28, 2005)

Remora returns to the pure drone guitar roots. It's the disc the reviewers have been heckling for, no vocals, no songs, just guitar.

This audio is part of the collection: Silber Records
It also belongs to collections: netlabels; netlabels

Date: 2005-07-28 00:00:00
Keywords: Post Rock

Notes

Just one guitar through a looping pedal & a reverb unit. No overdubs or studio tricks.

"twelve string guitar song" was originally written on a twelve string acoustic guitar.

"the assault on tony's" is named after a book by John O'Brien.

"sinking sky" is a reference to the Lycia song "Dome."

"punchout" allegedly follows the same chord progression as the training sessions in the video game Mike Tyson's Punch Out. A very different version of this song called "Knockout" appears on the album Enamored.
