J-LabJ-Lab - Bout Time EP [1006AD] (September 18, 2005)

The fabulous live performer J-Lab extracts four tracks out of his set and releases them on the "Bout Time" EP. It's like your favourite restaurant finally offers a take out option: About time.

The EP gently opens with "Haze", where zen like sounds gradually unfold into a highly rhythmic piece. "Vapour Trails" follows this path, sounds and rhythm are however somewhat more organic. "Evolver", the third track is sporting a very funky bassline, accompanied by some retro synth and claps - kickin! At last, the title track "Bout Time": Minimal Techno of its finest. Complex highs are hold together with a dry beat with glimpses of synths added.
