Enter the world of minimal dub with Katzo's Raindrop EP. The four tracks are ambient but upbeat and minimal but rich... dubside. Case, the opening track, features a prominent four-on-the floor kickdrum. Slightly twisted, the song nevertheless comes across playful and contains countless hisses, bleeps and clicks. Raindrop, the title song, stands more within traditional dub, but minimal: A subtle and warm composition with lots of attention to details. The next tune draws rather more on the scary qualities of a Midnight Beach than the romantic ones - it is dark and resembles cinematic qualities, with a pounding beat leaving no escape. ND-1 the final track, summarises Katzo's audio signature: A fine dubby beat is underling a bouquet of clicks, producing a very light but deep and animated atmosphere.
