NOTE: The comment was made by President Eisenhower (a Republican like Nixon) –– NOT Truman (a Democrat).

Subject: first part not bad
Oh, I don't think the sound quality of the first part was that bad at all.

Subject: We're still waiting, President Truman..
Decided to see the 2nd part of this, as I really enjoyed the debate which is included in the Presidential Recordings part of this site. The first part, as you all know, suffers by the Alvin and The Chipmunks audio, but the 2nd part is fine. Unfortunately though, this whole debate is totally chopped in half, footage is missing. The whole debate is supposed to last an hour, we see only about 27 minutes. What is shown on here though IS interesting though, as there is talk about the American Farmer, some talk about experience, and Nixon on full damage control mode after Truman said to 'Give me a week' when a reporter asked the president of one policy the vice-pres has reccomended to him. This is also the debate where Nixon refused to wear make-up, and thus we see him sweating like a stuck pig. Oi!
