The ninth of twelve chapters of a DVD I produced from footage I took of a wedding in the South East of Turkey. The wedding took place in the town of Batman, where I was invited to stay with my friend's family. I'm very grateful to the Sonmezsoy family for their warm hospitality and letting me film in such intimate settings.

The second day of wedding festivities, people pile into cars and drive to a remote village to pick up the bride. I was caught off guard video wise, events moved rapidly and before I knew it the bride was whisked off to the waiting car. I'm back-peddling and trying my damnedest not to be a big jerk ruining ceremonies. The cloth over the bride's head intrigued me, perhaps it's traditional, a ceremonial abduction?
