David MacKay is the Chief Scientific Adviser to the U.K. Department of Energy and Climate Change. He is author of the bestselling popular book “Sustainable Energy – Without the Hot Air” (www.withouthotair.com) which aims to debunk popular myths about various energy sources and give the public the tools necessary to evaluate policy proposals. MacKay is also a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge.
