snowshoefilmsFOUR ARROWS: JULIAN JAYNES (2005)

embedding and help

Hypnosis & the exploitation of the vestigial bicameral mind. Prof Don Trent Jacobs (aka Wahinkpe Topa) discusses hypnotism, an exploitable vestige of pre-consciousness, noting that our vulnerabilities are being professionally exploited to direct formulate an acceptable collective cognitive imperative. Four Arrows, PhD, Ed.D, suggests that hypnosis, a pre-conscious vestige is understood and manipulated by cognitive behaviorists [such as Leon Festinger] as cognitive dissonance and by political hypnotists/magicians such as Frank Luntz. Julian Jaynes, I think, would approve that his notions about authority and hypnosis have been applied as Dr. Jacobs, aka Four Arrows, has done to our current state of head in the sand awareness. Hypnosis is used daily in one of its natural forms and as long as we are unwilling to consider how propanda invades our perceptions we may remain susceptible to behaving as though hypnotized at great peril. In Four Arrows newest book, Unlearning the Language of Conquest: Scholars Expose Anti-Indianism in America (University of Texas Press) and his chapter, "Military Exercises on 9/11: Bizarre Coincidence or Something Else" (Elseviere Science), he offers some evidence for the possibility that our great nation is indeed in a state of hypnosis!

Subject: Past time for such a perspective

In fact, considering how the American public amazingly continues to seem blind with regards to such vital facts as those that relate to fraudulent U.S. presidential elections, deceptions about the Iraq war, peak oil, depleted uranium, and so many more "political" issues, it may be past time to consider that the phenomenon of hypnosis and the theories of Jaynes may be related!

Subject: A Political Film

Don't need a hypnotist spouting off on politics. Really inadequate, doesn't explain the theory well. Spent too much time telling us how evil republicans were hypnotizing us into believing the wrong things.
