The moon ship reminds me of the Lunar Shuttle from the Earth orbiting Space Station to the Moon- 2001: A Space Odessey

I have to say that, while the ship would be just as impractical as the earlier designs the movie poked fun at, the 1920s view of the Moon and the distant Earth was pretty accurate.
The audiences of the period must have been amazed at the possibilities the future held, unlike the delusional Luddites of the modern day, who make up ludicrous fictions like the Earth being flat, or pretending we never landed on the Moon.

It is great to see these early concepts on space travel. I only wish all these were available for Roku viewing on TV.

I used to believe we went to the moon, no more. There is way too much proof that we never went. NASA says we “lost” the technology LOL.

For the time the film was made, there is remarkable foresight. Especially the "scenes" of the surface of the moon.

Not the Jules Verne version! This version is a LOT less fantastic, and more based on science, which is interesting, because... who knew at this time they would know so much (well, as much as possible). We first start out by examining some space ships of lore, and this is going way back, to like 1808. We then cut to 1999, where we get on a german made spacecraft. I was confused if this was already designed and designated to take off in 1999 or what. Anyways, it does.. Some hokey special effects are shown, but then we get to the moon, and I was surprised by how much they got it right. Of course, there's no dancing vixens there to meet you.. just caverns and craters. Very interesting, and reccomended!
