Trash80Trash80 - Hologram [8bp037] ()

The debut release from Trash80 is a chip-wave dance thriller filled with party-rocking beats and gameboy bleeps. Featuring vocal mayhem by Jemgirl, these tunes will have you jumping up and down, pumping your fist and wishing for the future to get here quicker ... or is it, for the past to come back forever? You know this feeling, its the feeling you got when you looked at those chips and bits when you were just a kid and thought you were living in the future. Well this is what yesterdays future sounds like.

I would just like to recant the previous review. Eleanor Rigby is King of the Molasses

i agree, this ep totally rocks. makes me want to get up and dance. in my underwear. [strobe light and disco ball optional]

i do wish it was released at a higher bit rate or in ogg format. this kind of music really needs to be encoded at high quality because of all the high frequencies. 128kbps mp3s just ain't enough...

Subject: Insanely kickass electropop.
OK, this is by far my favorite 8BitPeoples release ever. Incredibly catchy electropop with female vocals, hints of New Order and '80s new wave, bits of GameBoy bleep dotted around, all add up to one of the best netlabel releases, like, ever. Rave mode off.
