Subject: Really Good Quality
Love the quality here, and definitely agree with the first poster that it makes up for the other recordings where the crowd noise makes it hard to pick up the subtleties.

The great part is that you can still hear the crowd a bit but the music doesn't suffer. Great setlist too.

Thanks to the tapers and Archive, love this site

Subject: Not to be overlooked
I was disappointed early in 2007 with the recording quality of some of the shows - too much crowd noise and poor quality meant a general dampening of the subtle nature of Andrew's music. This show, however, does that subtlety justice: for archive users who have listened to the best available Bird concerts (live at Schuba's, studio Lenoir, Paradiso etc), this is a noteworthy addition to the collection. The added effects to even older songs like "Imitosis" increase their expressive potency, while tracks like "Scythian Empire" are unquestionably powerful and relevant in our current political and cultural climate. Give it a listen! Thanks to those who make this non-commercial exchange possible - a little bit of ground won back from Corporation Land.

Subject: #5, 13, 14, 16 are AMAZING!!
Named incorrectly due to the first track throwing all the rest off, but this is a great show! The sound is perfect .... Andrew and Martin are just ON. Those tracks I listed are my favorite versions of those particular songs. Scythian Empires .. the intro... I'm very glad he 'messed up' and started over. Could listen to that as a song in itself. Simply wow.

Notes: Sweet show! He wasn't as interactive with the crowd as i expected, but the music did all the talking and i probably had an exagerated ideia of how much he talks on stage. A very nice set too (missing "Dark Matter" and "Fake Palindromes" sadly). He played a lot of his "Dark side of the moon", the spectacular new album "Armchair Apocrypha". Martin Dosh, played his one man band set of 11 minutes before Andrew and Jeremy came on stage. Sound quality is amazing, easily one of my best recordings. TAGV is the best venue i've ever been sound quality wise (great acoustics, great sound guy). I did adjust the levels a couple of times during the show, as the set went in a "loudness crescendo". No EQ'ing applied as I didn't feel it was necessary. At some points of the show, the right channel (mainly, the left one has the same artefacts, even if much milder) has several clicks and pops. After the show, i've found out that the battery of my mics was almost drained... I tried to correct it making it mono in those small portions using the least affected left channel, but you can still notice a bit. It's much better now, but don't be shocked if you find one that i've skipped. Besides that, post-pro was strictly for attenuation of clapping peaks, using HL. 24 bit version is also available.
