Supplemental files:
Evolution of the metal scene in Ireland (releases per band per year; source: search engine of the Metal Archives). The first year is 1986, because it marks the date in which the first real metal album has seen the light of day in Ireland. At least this is what the currently available information indicate. Thin Lizzy and other associated bands play rather a mixture between Heavy Metal and Hard Rock; the tide shifted into more extreme regions since the year 1986.
