Limited Flag: ApproReq / LimUp
On February 16, 2006, we received permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive, subject to limits as directed:
Subject: Re: [etree] Re: ALBINO! on archive.org- a GO, how to work limits?
Hi Diana,
Thanks for the opportunity to archive our music.
I think the only limits we have are
"band approval required before fan uploads a show. Just email MP3 attn:
Nathan to albinoATalbinobandDOTcom and permission will be given via email.
However, Richard Selleseth (band taper) can upload shows without
permission.
lossy copies are ok. "
Thanks again Diana.
Best,
Nathan Endsley

Greeting Archive.org,
We are ALBINO!, a berkeley-based 12-piece afrobeat ensemble. I am Nathan
Endsley, Band leader and co-founder of the band. I want to encourage
recording and trading our our live shows. Hopefully this gives our basic
desires.
"Audience recording is encouraged as long as it does not interfere with
the front of house sound person and/or the enjoyment of the performance by
the audience. Mic placement may be restricted to a designated area in some
venues. Soundboard and stage recording is with permission only (at the
band's descretion).
basically, we want to encourage tapers but at the same time protect our
rights to recordings we may want to sell later. And also want to make
sure the recording is of decent quality before being uploaded for all to
hear."
This is our first time doing this so if you have any suggestions please do
so. I want our music to be very accessible for all music lovers but still
have some basic restrictions that cover our creative and commercial
interests.
Best,
Nathan Endsley
