Manchester Anti-Nazi League Carnival Part 1 (2002)
On 1st September 2002, a carnival against racism enttiled "Love Music, Hate Racism" took place in Platt Fields Park in the black/South Asian quarter of Manchester, UK. It was organised by the Anti-Nazi League and was part of a campaign to politically marginalise the far right in the region. It was successful and the votes for the far right have dropped significantly in the period since. This clip shows some interviews with participants at the carnival. It also features some music by Billy Bragg.
