Moreover thank you for providing Myspace with your first ever exclusive interview about your upcoming album " No Artificial Flavours " so without further ado lets get this interview rolling.
Why name the album no artificial flavours ?
(AP desire): Its strange you ask this as I had many different themes to think about when exploring album names . But I felt that the main items I wanted to put across were the rawness of the tracks , the feeling of undeveloped songs , songs that haven't been digitally remastered , or perfected by professionals . The album is just the pure essence of music , the heart and soul unbuilt on. This is what the album was all about the fun side to music , Nothing to heavy or thought provoking but still encapsulating catchy quirky sounds mixed with artful content a bit like a can of Fanta (which is by the way made with no artificial flavours lol)
In your eyes what is the target audience for " No Artificial Flavours" ?
(AP desire): Well the album was most definitely not catered to a certain age group or even a predominant genre , I tried to keep it as open ended as possible .This is further consolidated by the fact that this album is out there to reach listeners of all different shapes , likes , dreams and sizes . As I like to put it , music is there to be enjoyed and shared . But also I am not fooling anybody this aint the well published autobiography complete with ghost writer that people would spend money on , this is more of a book of short stories , something that you can get for free something to keep you lightly entertained , something a little bit different a bit like a Fanta can (lol I love that phrase)
What song of the album do you feel would appeal to most people on the album ?
(AP desire): I'm looking for the perfect ten , whether you're a boy , girl , man or woman it brings up some thought provoking life like points . Although the deeper meaning to the song is " everyone has faults , no ones perfect superficially so why search for it . love someone for who they really are . Hence why the artist of the song (me) sounds really shallow in the song for that reason .
Whats your favourite song of the album ?
(AP desire): Hmm My favourite song has to be ? well thats a hard one it keeps changing currently I would say it is Siente . Simply because I love the lyrics I wrote to that track , they embody content and imagery quite well . The funny thing about that song is I still don't know what sienteelcanto means LOL , I just thought this sounds really good lets just keep it in there (smiles) .
What was your thought process behind "You had me at hello / I can't compete ( the latest track that was added to the album ) ?
(AP desire): Well the actual original recording to that was on a different beat with the main themes of the song being " love , fondness and feelings of appreciation for the woman who occupies your dreams " . The other day I was searching for royalty free beats to use and came across this beautifully composed beat that had a love themed feel to it , I thought it would be perfect to intertwine with the "I can't compete" A Capella . While I was mixing the beat with my A Capella I tried to em-capture a feeling similar to a guy laying all his admiration on the line for the girl he loves ! After hours of frustrating editing , I still thought the track was missing some key elements , So I decided to add some theatrics from Hollywood to sensationalize the song and also to consolidate the main element which is love . I'm pleased with the end result as most songs it won't be everyones cup of tea , but I'm sure there are some people out there that will appreciate the hard work and effort and pain staking time I spent on this song .
What were your inspirations behind this album any particular artist that you felt inspired you to make this album ?
(AP desire): None , no one at all . It was just a natural progression after falling in love with making music , like a painter falls in love with painting he just naturally progresses to bigger works of his art . Now to actual artists that inspired me to make music , well there is just too many to mention 50 Cent , Jay z , Elton john , The Beatles , Sean Paul , Bob Marley , Britney spears , muse , Magic E there is just way too many to mention

Nice Little album I put it on my Ipod
I came across this page by complete accident after looking for free music to stick on my new Ipod nano . I'm definitely not one to turn down a free album and I must say I love the songs perfect ten and we wanna party I can't stop playing then . Can't compete is definitely something different too , don't think I have ever heard something like that . Which is a good thing
I wasn't too big on the I wanna kick it song. It was way too short and the overall sound didn't really appeal to me , but apart from that I was literally counting all my lucky sheep that I had the fortune of discovering such a good little album .
It is a very short album , very very short indeed it's not even half an hour long and yet I found myself playing most of the songs over and over again , it was as if the artist made up for the lack of content by shortening the amount of filler songs .
Overall it was a nice little gem shame it was really short and I also felt that it was missing that classic that sets most albums apart from the pack !
