Really bad
One of the worst movies I've watched on the archives. The main two characters are nasty and unappealing. Unlike the usual movies that has the premise of two men who are rivals, but have deep down affection for one another, this one makes you feel that they genuinely hate one another. The title is a misnomer. There was probably 5 minutes total of aerial footage. The rest of the movie had an incomprehensible plot about bandits or whatever set in an unappealing jungle location. Pass.

Battling Buddies
This is a well produced second feature from Universal. (You may recognize the reused background score from Universal's Flash Gordon serials.) Set on a un-named south seas island that looks a heck of a lot like rural California. it's a standard military action comedy played out against the background of a native uprising. Two buddies after the same girl sabotage each other every chance they get. There are some laughs, but this is no Hope and Crosby road show. With the possible exception of Dick Purcell, you probably won't recognize most of the okay cast. The action sequences are adequately staged for a B. The print is clean and glitch free. Pleasant enough with some fun moments, but unless you're a dedicated fan of this kind of formula yarn, "Air Devils" won't have much to offer you.

Not too bad
Larry Blake stars in the low-budget Air Devils. He works as police officer in the South Pacific and plans to rescue a pack train from natives. There is, of course, a love interest and it's a police buddy movie too. The usual Universal stuff.
