Collected in one place for the first time ever are a couple dozen assorted recordings from 1997-201X, featuring assorted incarnations of Akrasians covering and interpreting the works of others. Some are songs we've played for years, but most are songs only played once or twice and never again.
Special thanks to Mr Paul Ashley for collecting and assembling this collection entirely on his own. If you're a lawyer, don't sue the band! Ha!

Notes
Ladybug Picnic
Drop it on Your Head
some of my favorite saturdays start with making a nice breakfast, bacon, eggs, coffee with mah babes, some quality lounging, feeling good and fnarking around in the studio, spending five minutes sorta learning a random cover song and recording it to existence for the heck of it... there's a handful of lazy saturday songs floating around here circa 2010-11... these are a few of them to get started: one of my favorite old school sesame street ditties and some lil wayne and eminem, you know, for the kids...
Work
lazy saturday fingerpickin ditty... 'work' is by fellow burghers 1,2,3. seek out the original and play it loud.
Bridges and Balloons
Tangled Up in Blue
from the akrasia spring 09 acoustic hookah residency... the buric licks on bridges is legendary...
Live on the Moon
You are My Sunshine
recorded as part of 'the brackenridge sessions' sessions..
Uncle John's Band
one of dr buric and my first recordings together from back in 1997... released on a limited edition cassette that bought us our PA system.
How Will I Know
londonradio, f2-era bill winding down at 5 am covering evan dando covering whitney houston...
Harrisburg
lazy saturday.. there was a week or so last year when it seemed like fun to sing everything like a bastard child of bruce springsteen.
The Letter
recorded the day alex chilton passed on. big star was great, but this song made me want to sing in a band. also it had a roller coaster solo.
Revolution Blues
'10 jam in the millmansion... no clue who's all playing on this...neil young - on the beach album. good stuff.
The Coffee Song
some ragged brazilian blues from fall '09
Another Day in Paradise
Man in the Long Black Coat
Need You Now
Heart of the Country
bunch more lazy saturday songs. general goofing around, 'aving a lark of it.
Smells Like Teen Spirit
wasting time, testing gear and committing sacrilege during the aphrodite sessions...
Beyond Here Lies Nothing
wasting time, experimentin, with electric guitar and loops during the 'people in hell' sessions...
Sweet Home Alabama
so we're playing a bowling alley spring aught eight. kennymo wants to jam out on 'special, but the jagalope spirits of the lanes infiltrated our souls twisting it into 'sweet home alabama', a song that we do not actually know and had never played before.
Long Time Comin'
All Along the Watchtower
some jams live @ a bar under an indian restaurant in the u pitt student ghetto. adam robusto is a monster beast.
House at Pooh Corner
this was live on WRCT's SLB radio program... my dad used to sing this to me and my brothers and sisters when we were youngins and he'd rock us to sleep. he was in the hospital and they brought him a radio.
Thank God for Bullets is a LSCC recording of a track by my mates star chamberlain & the #'s
Rainbow Connection is another LSCC of the Muppet classic
The Dunes and Ready for the House are Jandek covers recorded live at the Annual Jandek Open Stage from 2011
Am I Awake is a LSCC take on a TMBG gem

Just a couple of them? Just throw them up as they are so
folks can hear them if they feel like listening? It may even
garner a donation or two to your beer fund...?
Yar?

buric will hold you down and benji will gut you like a seabass
and take a dump in your ribcage. i wash my hands of anything
resembling responsibility for anything you do.

Bill,
That's great to hear! Thank you so much! Is there any way
you could take a moment and write a little something about
some of the songs to give them context?

Bill,
Might you Please reconsider? I think it would give excellent
context to the collection and would only require very minimal
effort on your part?
I do understand you are extraordinary lazy and have most
likely been wasted continually since Wednesday, but again, a
few brief words would add tremdous context to the collection
as a whole.
Also, I do dismay to bring this up, but you do owe me a bit of
rather large favor stemming from the Incident and my
subsequent unwarrented incarseration... I do understand that a
very sizeable amount of funds have never been recovered, and I
did watch you murder a human being with a hammer.
Might you Please reconsider writing just some brief liner
notes?
Best,
Paul

Hi Bill,
I could mot help but notice that, rather than brief liner
notes, your previous e-mail merely consisted of an explicit
statement expressing your intention to murder me with a hammer
and a somewhat contradictory request that I burn to death?
I would be deeply saddened if my attempts to share some of
your righteous music with the good world instead ended with my
forwarding this conversation and other relevant information in
my possession to interested parties at Interpol and the
Federal Reserve.
Best wishes,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Have you ever noticed how some things just look waaaay
different in print than they were intended to? Ha Ha! It's
really funny when you think about it and I'm sure there's no
reason anyone would want to contact the Federal Reserve about
anything.
Your pal,
-Bill

Thanks, good buddy! It means so much that you've taken the
time to collect so many unique recordings over the years and
are assembling them together like you are. We really
appreciate what you're doing. We are all blessed to have you
in our lives.
