Reviewer:TractorCool - - March 10, 2007 Subject: Girls, Guns and Guts ... Reynolds seems to be writing like a man on borrowed time these days. Or perhaps he's just plain gifted. Either way, he's churning out some really top notch Americana with his twisted brillance. There's an unmistakable intensity in his Modern Hillbilly music that's hard to ignore, and even more difficult to categorize. Reynolds seems to know what works, and it is this trait that enables him to connect on a primal level with his audience. Underground country with teeth.
Reviewer:ConcernedCitizen - - March 8, 2007 Subject: Hillbilly Noir Minimalist songs trimmed down to the bone with tight well-timed boomer acoustic guitar rhythms. Reynolds' material accents an underlying darkness with a stark twang. Not only is this groundbreaking in style and character, but the songs are quite kick ass to boot.
