Subject:
An Excellent & Valuable Book!
A very important and rare insight from a Ex-Muslim from Saudi Arabia. Salim gives a unique glimpse into his personal story revealing the issues and conflicts that caused him to doubt Islam. It is written with a great deal of humour and amusing observations. At the same time he presents an informative and fascinating over-view of Islam from the perspective of someone living in a strict Islamic country and the problems it has created for Muslims and non-Muslims in the 21st century as well as the futile efforts of apologists to reconcile these problems. There are plenty of quotes from Qur'an, Sunna and Islamic Scholars to illustrate his points and he includes a very useful chapter on abrogation with lists of abrogated verses. A must read for those wanting an insiders perspective of Islam and the issues that lead to him rejecting the religion of his birth.
