Reviewer:framerAte - - September 29, 2006 Subject: simulacra seductions Codrescu begins with the assertion that Surrealism has less to do with art or writing than it does with the insurgent spirit engaging the world completely.
He quotes often from Andre Breton's Manifestoes of Surrealism, which he sez presents Surrealism as a new way of being in the world.
This is mostly a reading and is somewhat disjointed, as Andrei pauses to light something, loses his place, comments on passing sirens, etc.
Intelligent, interesting and sometimes humorous content that will probably prompt a second listen, as he reads everything pretty fast.
