Questions for the Collective ~ Live Music Archive?

I know AC has a very open taping and trading policy, which I really appreciate both as a taper and as a fan. I actually just discovered them because I taped the recent Atlanta show, and I was completely blown away by the band.
So I was wondering if it would be possible to get permission to add AC to the Live Music Archive. They host live shows permanently, and offer both lossless and mp3 for download, which would hopefully help alleviate the problem of so many people requesting and having to reupload shows on yousendit. This could be an amazing resource for the fans (and band) if approved.
Thanks

"What's the band's stance on video taping the shows? I know you guys are cool with audio taping, but I dunno about video."
Deakin replied:
Pretty much cool with anything you want to do from the audience as long as it doesn't mess with us directly. that is why we almost never let anyone come on stage with a camera. the only exception we have made is for our friend danny who is working on a project with us.
the thing with video though is that a lot of venues won't allow it regardless of band policy. i think they get concerned that video images that have their space in could be used to make money and they woudn't want that unless they got a cut. for example, bowery ballroom in NYC will not allow anyone to film in there unless they pay a fee to do so.
so even if we say it is cool, sometimes they still say no.
but you can always give it a shot. maybe next time call the venue in advance and ask what their policy is and whether it is dictated by the band.
see ya next time.
