The Anorexics and Bulimics Anonymous Monday Phone Mtg can now recorded during the Phone meeting. They will be digitally/recording, editing and placing on the Internet, speakers from the Phone Mtg. The recovering, sober, guest speakers will be sharing their own ABA experience strength & hope.
ABA is a 12-step recovery fellowship model after Alcoholics Anonymous, and was founded in Alberta, Canada. ABA has been making its way to other parts of Canada as well as major cities in the U.S., Europe, Australia, Israel, and New Zealand and its still growing.
ALL people with a desire to stop unhealthy eating practices are welcome, whether that practice be anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, over eating, or any other unhealthy eating practice!
In hopes of carrying the message of recovery in a broader spectrum to those of who suffer as well as to those who are limited to access of ABA meetings, the ABA Phone Meeting home group are commencing to record sober guest speakers twice per month.
For the sake of preserving the meetings anonymity, the only portion of the phone meeting to be recorded is that of the guest speakers sharing. They will be speaking from their own experience, which is all anyone of us can do. It is our hope that these audio files will be found to be a useful addition to your recovery journey.
The recorded speakers are NOT endorsed by or representing the Monday Night Phone Meeting nor are they endorsed by or representing ABA as a whole. The opinions expressed are sole of the person who shared them.

A great Tool!
Meetings are considered the 4th tool of recovery. Phone Meetings fall into that category.
There are actually 8 Tools of Recovery. They are listed in the ABA BASIC TEXT page 147.. & in more detail see chapter 13 pg 149 of text.
Meetings; the 4th tool listed, as the preamble state is of extreme importance.
Tool # 4.Meetings: both A.B.A. and other Twelve Step meetings are critically important in maintaining sobriety. Many of us in early recovery attend ninety meetings in ninety days.
Identification is of crucial importance, and is one of the keys to the recovery process. By attending a meeting and discovering that we share the same problem as others in the halls, have felt the same feeling others describe & think the same thoughts. We discover, we are NOT alone.
BUT for those of us where there are NO established ABA Mtgs or few of them. Phone Meetings bridge the gap.. Phone Meetings allow people from far away places, out lying areas to be and feel a part of. To be a part of a community. A Phone Mtg Community of Anorexics & Bulimics and other person with unhealthy eating practices, are connecting and sharing their experience strength and hope with one another.
Phone Mtgs are simply another vehicle for Higher Powers grace to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves; keep us sober. Phone Mtgs are lifelines for some until they are able to start up a community in their own area. All in H.P.s time.
In the meantime we are fed spiritually, and emotionally with the help of other local 12-Step Fellowships and the Phone Mtg Fellowship as well. The Monday & Friday ABA Phone Meetings connects one anorexic/ bulimic with another anorexic/ bulimic, which is on mark of our primary purpose to help those who still suffer.

(Eastern Standard Time) Service IS our most powerful tool and your service will not only be most greatly appreciated by us it will be a tremendous service to your own recovery process.
