Spiritual & religious poem about contemplation and prayer, a narrative about living the life of an Oblate whose focus is Christ. A transcription, revised numerous times, the ideas and words set in poetic style are those of Novice Master, Immaculate Heart Hermitage, Big Sur, California USA The Rev. Michael Fish, Camaldoli monk residing at the monastery. At the time of the talk given at a Quiet Day at the Benedictine order's study house, Incarnation Monastery, Father Michael was Oblate Chaplain. Read aloud by the aspiring poet Peter Menkin, it is his opinion that the poem sounds better than it reads.
