Good Performances
Paul Newman was born in 1925 which would have made him 29 in 1954, and not 21 as the first reviewer wrote - The punch-drunk pug to whom Newman is talking in the first scene, is the fine character actor Nehemiah Persoff, who at this writing is still alive at 92.

Fighters must face themselves too
Paul Newman is 21 years old and Inger Stevens is only 20 but they both bring a maturity to their roles that goes way beyond they young inexperienced lives. This television production has fine character performances by veterans who can act and two young stars who go on to even better and bigger performances.
