Arthur Pryor was arguably the most important proponent of ragtime music in the early 1900s. He invented modern trombone technique, making that instrument an essential ingredient in early syncopated music. "Ramshackle Rag" was composed by Ted Snyder and was recorded on November 15, 1911. From the original 78rpm disk.

Subject: Trombones and Castanets!
Very nice tune, and if that's a trombone I hear, Pryor sure makes good use of it. Like the use of castanets later on in the song as well.
