Yes that is Jerry Lester on Calvacade of Stars a year or so before he got to Broadway Open House. Why are we discussing him? Where's Dagmar!

Subject: Broadway Open House?

This is Jerry Lester who, along with Dagmar, appeared on the Dumont Network's Broadway Open House.

Subject: Biting satire of Arthur Godfrey

They go to great lengths to skewer Arthur Godfrey here. And, I suppose, looking back, one could argue that he had it coming.

In this clip they satirize so many aspects of his TV persona, and they list them at the beginning.

The clip seems to run out before the actual sketch is over, but by then you get the general idea.

This appears to be rather a low budget production, which was probably the norm back then.
