Reviewer:joshcryer - - February 22, 2006 Subject: Excellent video explaining RepRap technology. Basically what we have here is a nice video explaining what goes on in the RepRap project, and the current approaches they are taking to creating a Replicating Rapid Prototyper. Some of the more innovative things are the fact that such a machine could use organic feedstock (using corn or dairy waste), which anyone could theoretically make.
The philosophical implications of this technology is mindnumbing. And the video deserves 5 stars simply on that basis alone. Not to mention, it's kinda funny in parts where Vik jokes around about fixing his blender at home... :)
A note: the .ogg file is what you want to download, it uses the Ogg/Theora codecs. You must use VLC to play it (or download the Ogg/Theora codec for your OS). It was my first time uploading a file, so sorry for any confusion.
Reviewer:GirdwoodTelevision - - February 22, 2006 Subject: Where's the video? How can there be a dozen downloads, and a review, but no video? Is it the OGG file? Feel free to let me know what's up: theflynn@girdwoodtelevision.com thankx! ~Chris Flynn
