Subject: Gotta love 'em...
I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole show yet (hence no star rating), but I like what I've heard so far. I agree, I love ALO, but hearing the trio is cool for a change.
I don't know if Zombies is an "ALO song" or not.
I saw Zach in Portland back in October, and he announced it as a new song, which he played with backup from the Kyle Hollingsworth Band.
He also opened the show with a solo set, all played on the accordion. He played "Kids" by MGMT...looks like Zach's diggin' the MGMT these days.

Subject: A+ recording, fine performance
As blasphemous as this sounds, I prefer the cleaner groove of this trio to the full ALO ensemble. No offense Lebo, some of your work is very inspiring and I love ALO, but this trio is tight. z. gill, brogan , and adams get a little more room to groove and explore. majorly sweet stuff here -- check out the new song, AHHHHH, w/ brogan on keys, the cover of ben folds' classic, Army, and Shine (what a journey). The segues are masterful as well.
and then there's the pure wit of some of the lyrics -- "There's no longer comfort in your comfort zone."
"she wanted his body so bad, she ate his brain." classic stuff.
thanks, musicians, tapers, fans. B/c of you, I'm groovin in PA on a rainy day.

Subject: 808s > 90s> 2000s = fun!
I loved this show, one of my favorite sets of the festival. Zach is a bag of emotional and silly epicness that is magic no matter what he touches. I love the ode to each decade with these cover choices. I especially freaked out for the Ben Folds song. VERRRRY exciting indeed! THANK YOU TAPERS

Subject: "instrumental"
is "Never Know What You Want (Until You Get What You Want)" as per the lyrics, and also per Zach's pronouncement after the song ends. This show has a appropriately ghostly feel to it, as the guitar player is off on paternity leave- just freakin weird. Good, but weird. Perhaps any Lebo-wannabees can play along to this show to see how they would match up. Great sound, great performances; Thanks for getting this up here!

Subject: An interesting bag of tricks and goodies
This is a pretty decent show. The sound quality of the recording is very good. BAG of Tricks certainly had a wide variety of covers to mix in with their ALO material. It was cool to hear them cover MGMT's Time to Pretend. I also liked the new take on Shine.
Anyone happen to know if Zombies is a new Zach tune or a new ALO tune?
