Backstage with Fatty Arbuckle, a nice print of a simple little comedy from 1919. Mable Norman costars.

A Pleasing Time
Gives several smiles along with more than a little distress at one point with violent realism. Mabel's timing and dance, short as it is, shows she had the physical qualities to make her a comedic action star. Same in their way goes for Arbuckle and especially Keaton.

Outstanding fun!
What a charming film! Fatty Arbuckle, whom I'd never seen in action before, is a delight: his comic touch is as light as his physique was heavy; he underplays with real artistry. Buster Keaton is always amazing -- how did he kick his legs into the air while lying face down with his neck pinned? His flight through the air on the swing was wonderful. Arbuckle and Keaton worked together extremely well. This may be something obvious that many others have already said, but don't they seem like the prototype for the Laurel and Hardy pairing?

Correction
This does not have Mabel Normand (or Mabel Norman) in it. The actress is, according to IM
Db.com, Molly Malone (1888 - 1952).

Great performance by Fatty and Buster, but i'm not sure this is Mabel...
A great film! Fatty and Buster at their best. Fatty with his energetic ballet-like movements, and Buster with his amazing stamina. However, i don't think this was Mabel Normand in this film. She looked and acted nothing like her. Nonetheless, be she Mabelor not, she did a fine job!

A nice Arbuckle short
Not bad at all. Arbuckle was a film natural; he looks considerably more fluid than Keaton in this, whose gestures look more contrived and deliberate.
Incidentally, it's odd that the uploader didn't mention that Keaton is also in the film (all the way through). And credited Mabel Normand as 'Mabel Norman'.
