Limited Flag: LimUp (band only for now)
On April 3, 2006, we received permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: [Etree] New Band desiring to be in your archive
WOW! I was BLOWN away this weekend when I found your archive. That is WAY cool!
The band I'm in, the Baja Blues Band (out of Tri-Cities, WA), will be playing live again soon and I (the keyboard player and one of the main lead vocalists) have been recording all of our live performances on fairly high end digital equipment. I think we are a pretty decent blues/70s band and folks would like to hear our renditions of popular blues and 70s tunes.
I would like you to therefore create whatever you have to create for the Baja Blues Band and then I would like exclusive permission to upload material at this time. We will certainly allow "tapers" in the future, but for now, I want to be the one to place our material up on your archive since I'll be mastering the concerts from our source and I desire the highest quality possible. I am also fluent in all the various software you talk about and use (like FLAC and so forth), so that shouldn't be a problem.
If I need to be the one to create the initial page, then please direct me to the right place and I'll go create it (in fact, I'll go look right now and see if I can create an initial "site" or whatever). Okay....created it...please "activate" it or whatever you need to do. It's under Baja Blues Band (and the abbreviation is "baja").
Our website is at: http://bajabluesband.com and if you're curious, we have some limited recordings of rather old concerts up there. We should be sounding better for this upcoming batch of concerts.
We're excited and eager to help keep the spirit of live performance from dying out!!!
Thanks for your efforts and I really look forward to hearing from you!

Policy
At the present time (April, 2006), only Baja Blues Band members are uploading concert audio files, but in the future, if we ever get bigger, we will certainly allow "tapers" (who really uses tape anymore anyway?) and will describe the policy here.
