Banyan Live May 25th 2008 at Summercamp 2008 Moonshine Stage In Chillicothe Ill. USA
I never heard of this band until this show. I asked the other tapers their opinion and got favorable reviews.
After the 70 minute show I was glad that I recorded it. The bass player, drummer and horns blended great.
Fantastic dynamic range. For improvise instrumental they pulled it off. A good listen of this should delight
and live music fan. Norman Wisdom painted a picture during each improvise. When the music ended, his picture was complete.
He then took a picture and preceded to wash down the board for the next improvise. I really got a kick watching this guy.
Recorder: Nagra IV-S Reel to Reel analog
Tape: Scotch 3M-967 reels recording at 7 1/2 ips good for 48.30 minutes
Mics: DPA 4011's Using there shock mounts and cross bar.
