back story:
I had a band and we were pretty tight around 1991, but I got my wife pregnant and wanted to be there for them, so I asked the band to cover for me and they thought that ment I quit. so they played without me. No way to play music and move gear til 2 am, go to work at 6 the next day and be available to a baby and a wife. so the band shit had to stop. I honestly don't regret that. my daughter is part of me. You read about rock band after rock band who never were around for family. love and family are way more important to me than playing in a band. That is why it failed. but the music was pretty cool I thought. but it just sits un noticed on my hard drive and tapes.
i would give it away for free, if anyone got some joy out of it.
Reddit commentors:
"Your music is really good. I like the Crazy Drummer Splice. Kinda Grateful Deadish. So you’re in a genre that just doesn’t make the big bucks. Are you touring festivals and performing? That’s the only way that I see you being able to make something of a living doing this. This style doesn’t do that great being on a streaming platform without a name behind it. Now the other thing you could do is to partner with someone who appreciates this style and is a producer. Make your songs more popular so that people will listen regardless of your popularity or looks etc. It needs someone who understands how to make your raw ideas into something that more people will want to listen to."
"Start with ultra hi fi, I actually like it!
Also, idk if you need to hear this but keep making stuff and sharing it! It will only get better! Hope you find your audience, good luck!"
"Hahaha. Dude. I was ready to write you off with your lame attitude but some of your tunes are really cool. Getting a lou reed / velvet underground vibe."
"If your attitude translates to your music I probably wouldn't give it a like either.. If you don't want to try don't. I'm not listening to your music on principle at this point." - ha ha
"Well that sounded pretty good, something like the Beatles."
"you can also put a cassette into a bottle and throw it into the sea with the same effect, they sell the illusion of people listening, like sell the dream, not fulfillment"
