Let's face it guys and girls, this isn't about production values or coherent plot, it IS about the cheese factor. Movie lovers can critique these things from now until 2012, but if you're looking for, well-directed, written, acted and produced film, the '50's b/w drive-in sci-fi isn't for ya. If you ARE looking for people who just absolutely had to tell a story, and were willing to spend a huge amount of their personal treasure to do so, then this is your cup of tea. Or if you have teenagers (as do I) it's a great way to hold yourself up to personal ridicule. When my son was 7, he hated "Santa Claus Versus the Martians," now its a Christmas staple with his family. Enjoy whar these people tried to do to make their mark. You can always turn it off...

if it weren't for the monster. The acting was DEAD, and I'm not talking about the monster. The only reason I stayed with the movie was to see the monster. And I wish I hadn't.

This movie has everything a 50's drive in movie should have. Bad acting, bad dialog,a cheezy story line, and a monster. It's GREAT! One of those movies that you went to just to get a chance to cuddle in the back seat of your car. You gotta love it.
