Gulf coast residents filed a groundbreaking lawsuit against
the Army Corps of Engineers in Federal Court claiming the
that Corps amplified the destructive effects of Hurricane Katrina
by building a poorly designed navigation channel, MR-GO,
adjacent to the city which was responsible for the catastrophic
flooding of New Orleans East, St. Bernard Parish, and the
Lower 9th Ward.
