Did not know of Harlan, but -- though styles and sensitivities have obviously changed-- clearly an important part of musical history, static and all! Wish there was more online about him.

At long last, these masterful recordings are available for anybody with internet access to hear. These are really nice transfers and they represent Harlan well, with ballads, comic songs and Italian dialect pieces such as My Cousin Caruso.
"Won't You Fondle Me" is not Harlan. It is Harry Tally.
