Keith, John, James T, Philip, Henry, Richard, Mick, Simon, Annie Q, Matthew W, Vaughan, Tim, James S, Lucy, Vicky and Iggy improvised these sounds using acoustic and electric guitars and basses, flute, clarinet, alto sax, low whistle, keyboards, various percussion, Roland SPD-S samplepad, water, voices, slide whistle, iPhone, electronics, balalaika, saz, bouzouki, mandola, mandolin, harmonica, harmonium, glockenspiel, khamak, mbira, dan moi, accordion, electric razor, bells and whistles (and probably a few other things too) in no particular order at St. Mary Arches church, Exeter [06/02/08 (tracks 1 and 12), 28/05/08 (track 7), 03/09/08 (tracks 3 and 5), 08/10/08 (tracks 4 and 8) and 11/12/08 (tracks 2, 9 and 11)], Henry's house, Prospect Park, Exeter [14/02/08 (track 6)] and Vaughan's barn, Sherwood, near Newton St. Cyres [26/08/08 (track 10)].

All recorded on one microphone to either MiniDisc or Zoom H2 digital recorder. Some minor hiss/distortion in some tracks is due to levels being set too low/high. Sorry. Some tracks have been treated with a bit of compression, EQ, reverb, etc. but basically it's all exactly as played.

Children of the Drone are brilliant, extremely interesting and the quality of this recording is much better than the above comments make you think it might be. Find a darkened room and a bit of time and listen to this. You will NOT regret.
