Subject: A Suggestion
Subject: A Suggestion
I would suggest that the author of this video and all reviewers read Friedrich Hayek's The Road to Serfdom if they want to really understand the true nature of capitalism vs. socialism. It's all about the immutable laws of human behavior, not the mindless bunk contained in this video.

A good talk.
To answer some of the questions posed by the other user, Africa is not poor, it is rich. Only it's people are poor. It is well known that the CIA (a Western organization) has been involved in dozens of undemocratic intervenence in not just Africa, but all over the world.
Then you'll have to add colonization, and that the people there lived in such conditions for a long time. They never had the kind of political system the West has. Naturally, such dictators will come to power.
Politics today are not part of the people. A good example is the United States. They have two political parties with almost the same agenda, two sides of the same coin. To believe that ordinary people can affect their lives in any meaningful way is void. If elections really changed anything, they would not be allowed.
Capitalism is a system of greed. It cares nothing of people, of the environment, only for money. It is a well proven fact that the worker in capitalism does not get back what he or she has spent to create. They do not even own the tools they work with. On the other hand, the capitalist does. But who is it that makes the world go around? Is it Rupert Murdoch, or Jhonny the Worker?
What the capitalist state wants you to think is that all socialists are lazy and silly, that they only complain. But didn't Americans complain when they didn't want to be controlled by the British? Why, those poor Americans! They should work harder!
And to say that socialism is a system that controls people are completely bunk. If all people have equal power, how can they be controlled?
But of course, the capitalist state didn't tell you about that, so what they say socialism is must be true...

This is basic analysis of the water we're in. It's easy enough to identify water when you're not living in it. He makes the basic break down or our economic system in a great allegory.

Nice to hear a guy talk, I guess, but good god, it's all based on false premises...
We help people in gutter's because we are social animals, not because of God? You are kidding. Ever researched other cultures? the religious philosophy backs up moral obligation and therefor action. Social animals will socialize, not save a dying person....a dying person is past prime.
Why do people die in Africa? Because Westerners ignore them, naturally. It is our fault their governments starve out rebels who want to over throw the dictators who kill millions in a toss. Where was THAT data?
Politics should be left to politicians? Is he stupid? The point of democratic politics is that the individual should NOT abdicate responsibility. 'Party political broadcasts are boooriingg...entertaiiiinnn me. I am laaaazzyy.' Yes, this guy is the problem in the system - a half educated complainer who can't make a real stance and influence people.
People in capitalism work only to make toys for the rich? His theory should grow up with his understanding of the world. My advice- get out of the ghetto, get a job and see how the world works. It doesn't work that simply.
This guy is lazy, lack brained, and silly. He never hit anything on the head, but stands around complaining. It's pretty sickening. His whole voice and attitude is about being lazy- spoon feed me, Mr. Socialist! He wants to be babied and dragged along by a new system that enslaves people. Grab another 40, pal, and grab a welfare handout.
This film is long, long winded, and lacking plenty of facts. He basically wants people to distribute wealth, and no one should have to strive. ... problem is, then the richer ones won't strive to be rich and everyone is back in mud huts before dawn.

Paddy Joe Shannon did a bang-up job.
Not stumping, just criticizing.
Could use more CGI with Rex :)
