M.Kemal, 2012, Igdir Kelebekleri Priamus Suppl. 27: i-ix+ 1-253, 194 figs., 190 maps [in Turkish with editorial explanation in English] In this study, 190 species of butterflies of 7 families are recorded from Igdir Province (North East Turkey). Totally 7 species in 5 families are recorded in the province for the first time. These are: Papilio alexanor (Papilionidae), Pieris persis, Pieris krueperi (Pieridae), Coenonympha saadi (Satyridae), Tomares desinens (Lycaenidae), Pyrgus melotis, Thymelicus hyrax (Hesperiidae). Totally 164 species are illustrated from their living places. Distributional maps for Turkish provinces of 190 species are added. Brief information on fauna, ecology, and taxonomy of each species including Turkish vernacular names are also given. Image of caterpillar of Satyrium ledereri and its larval food-plant record, Atraphaxis spinosa are reported here for the first time in Turkey.
