This lecture refers to the 4th coalition war which lasted from 1806-07 and discusses Napoleon's victories at Jena, Auerstadt, and Friedland. I will also give a brief introduction to the basics of Napoleon’s command structure. Also discussed is the formation and failure of Napoleon’s Continental System . . . his attempt at economic war. This lecture will end with the Pope’s excommunication of Napoleon and Napoleon kidnapping the Pope and moving him to France.
