In this lecture, I will discuss the War of the 6th Coalition and the tightening of the noose around Napoléon’s empire . . . specifically, the pursuit of Russia, Prussia, and Austria of Napoléon across central Europe. I will draw attention to Napoléon’s defeat at Leipzig and the subsequent Allied invasion of France and their occupation of Paris. I will end the lecture with a discussion of Napoléon’s abdication, his first abdication, and his exile to Elba.
