This lecture will discuss Napoléon’s military reforms. I will discuss Napoléon’s leadership skills, his thoughts on the philosophy of war, his re-creating the army into self-contained corps capable of supplying themselves, his focus on speed and maneuverability, and the reforming of the organization and tactical use of the artillery. Finally, I will endeavor to provide examples of how Napoléon used these military reforms to his advantage.
