-Hey, quit kicking that sand in our faces!
-That man is the worst nuisance on the beach...
That was from a Charles Atlas ad.
This clip is actually: Charlies' Atlas
A word play on the ad I guess, from a time when kids were allowed to play with dangerous stuff like Chemistry sets with explosive stuff and the like.
A time when little kids turned to men not metrosexual, gender dysphoric denizens.
Still a kind of pointless little clip.

Subject: Too vague
Subject: Too vague
A brief film(early 1970's) about a boy who imagines as he lights his bottle rocket. A very vague film.

I'm guessing Cook Electric made this film to promote their missle guiding systems. From the 50's to the 70's, Cook worked government contracts associated with Cold War technology. This short film gives a very brief glimpse of the high tech tools of the guiding trade from the early days of remotely operated defense systems, the rest of the film shows a small boy who will doubtless grow to be the next generation of civil defense workers.

Subject: Bottle Rockets Away!
Subject: Bottle Rockets Away!
IÂm not sure what this film is supposed to prove. IÂm not even sure it belongs in the Educational category. A little boy shoots off a bottle rocket and imagines it to be a rocket that goes into outer space. Or something. Short with no dialogue. Maybe itÂs an industrial film, but it was made by an electrical company, not a company that makes rockets. The rocket Charlie looks at admiringly in the beginning is an ICBM, so this might be a Cold War film, except that the only reason I know that is because another reviewer on the Prelinger Archive mentions it in his review, not because of any hint the film gave me. Oh, I give up!

Subject: Atlas = ICBM
Subject: Atlas = ICBM
This Atlas is not a Titan or book of maps but the first missle designed to carry nuclear warheads to the Soviet Union. As a side benefit it could carry a man such as John Glenn into orbit. None of this background is provided in the film, which merely shows a boy impressed and inspired by rocketry with a whimsical musical background.

Subject: Where's the Atlas?
In this very short kid's movie, Charlie (?) puts some fireworks in a coke bottle and lights it pretends its a real rocket! We then cut to some nasa footage of rocket travel. Then Charlie thinks about lighting 2 at the same time! Then, um, thats it (Hey it's only 3 minutes). Cute, but somewhat lacking a really definite story.
