Not the BEST China Girl slate in the world.. (the one in the drinking PSA spot in the AVGEEKS section is 10 times better), but I loved the hiss at the beginning! This is amusing if you get the joke.

for more info just read Ryan 's Review which I totally agree with
this is totally for avgeeks, artists and maybe you...

Sure, this is possibly the shortest "film" available on this site, and it isn't too appealing to most here, but it's quite interesting for A/V geeks like myself. :)

The "china girl", as featured on this clip, is a female model posing alongside a couple of color & luma shade test cards appearing for a couple of frames on either the leader or tail of a film.

It's used by the processing lab to determine & properly calibrate flesh tones in the timing & color calibration of a processed print and/or negative.

I've seen a couple of different "china girls" on several old 16mm prints of films, some posing with color test cards with the Kodak logo on them (possibly they were photographed by Kodak, and the photos provided to film labs everywhere)...

This one's useless unless you worked with it back in the day, and are feeling nostalgic. Mostly black frames.

...Which isn't a lot. I felt complelled to write a quick review because though this archive is filled with great films, this one is less than worthwhile. The clip shows a blip of (a person?) if that. It's cool for that kinda postmodern effect but that's about it.
