Ziv Television Productions Inc.
This company under the leadership of Frederick Ziv, an attorney who never practiced law, produced some of the best syndicated TV "shorts" during the 1950's. It was a low buck operation that produced this first TV series in color in 1950, It followed with I Led 3 Lives which is either hidden, destroyed, or banned. Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford was his biggest money maker. Others were Sea Hunt and Bat Masterson. United Artists bought Ziv in 1960 and ran the company into the ground. The TV shows of today comprise a "Vast Wasteland", and the success of these 1950's shows is probably over.
