Leading-edge artist Phillip Wilkerson furnishes a great entry to the "Constant" series with "Constant 14". This one is light and shimmery-- and very easy to listen to-- with beautiful harmonics.
"Constant" pieces, for those unfamiliar, are musical works based on being as minimal as possible-- finding the least possible thing necessary for listening. These pieces tend to be drone in nature. The original "Constant" appeared on Webbed Hand Records ( www.webbedhandrecords.com ), and others have been released at the TZP Drone Company ( http://www.archive.org/details/tzpdc ) and also here at Treetrunk.
Treetrunk would like to thank Mr. Wilkerson for his excellent piece.

Subject: Constant 14 - The new release of Phillip Wilkerson
Phillip Wilkerson created here a very interesting Ambient soundtrack. Its floating, shimmering and transparent sounds are somehow evoking the depths of the oceans. Well, that's my subjective impression. It's fascinating to hear how this artist is able to express himself by using a minimal set of sounds. This allows him to recreate new palettes of colors, atmospheres and dimensions. I heartily recommend this unique recording to all listeners and audiophiles. Thank you!
