CopterCopter - Various Electronic Sounds (January 3, 2004)

Various Electronic Sounds. Music that can be described as chillout // ambient. Subtle synthetic melodies, hard to describe sounds reverberating with deep and dark echo, monotonous rhythm... Harmony of sounds without chaos... Order, fluctuation...

Chillout. Ambient. Minimal.

Close your eyes. Relax. Enjoy and let your mind wanders to wherever it takes you while you listen to this minimal album.

The 9 tracks are mostly pretty repetitive, monotonous, slow and atmospheric, but yet still rich in their textures, sounding pretty dark and completely showcased how minimal can actually be good.

Great album to listen to for meditation (I believe). I personally have listened to this album a lot of times while studying and working. Various Electronic Sounds is simply a wonderful minimalistic album.

Notable tracks:

they are
they are coming. they are coming to get us. run. run for your life.

venturing through the labitynths
Yet another spacey, mystery-ish track. Probably the song thatâs being played through the sound system on space shuttles.

nil caream two
This is probably the most melodious track of the album. Sounded a bit like Mobyâs ambient works to me, and that should be a compliment. Makes a very good ending track for the album.

This is one of those sets that takes you somewhere else. Every piece flows harmoniously into the next. It's something I'd like to listen to while in deep meditation.

Sounds really impressive, and flowing like a warm stream of sound.
It is comparable to the very minimalistic Rhythm & Sound project of the two founders of the legendary HardWax recordstore in Berlin. Feels good, go on for the big fish...
