A form for recognizing the creative rights students have over their own work, which I have students sign in my undergraduate music technology course MUS 243 at the University of Illinois. This form allows students to choose a license and stipulate what, if any, sharing they wish to be associated with their work.
The creative rights pyramid suggests that curricular materials for students should favor works with few or no restrictions, such as student original work, works from the public domain, and works under the creative commons. One diagram is simply the pyramid, the other contains a description and explanation.
