Subject: sign language
I actualy like the interruptions for the sign language it gives a sort of performance artsy style to old vintage cartoon that without the interruptions will sound like just one more vintage cartoon
I had fun watching it
Its not worth the download since its poor quality its not better that the streaming one.
Also the mpeg1 file doesnt play the soundtrack on my Mac Powerbook

Subject: Culture Shock from a Cartoon?
ThereÂs lots of sign-language interpretation in this one, but for once, I think itÂs necessary, since the story involves cultural conventions that deaf kids may not be familiar with. Of course, the idea that deaf kids need to be exposed to such bizarre concepts as a cupid firing squad is not questioned. But I guess hearing kids get plenty of exposure to these bizarre old cartoons, so we might as well not leave the deaf kids out. I just hope the kids watching this wonÂt come away with the idea that human reproduction somehow involves a roulette wheel and rubber stamps.
