This was the song my grandfather wrote and I even went to the town in NC when I was in college. I have all his 78s and his documents that I inherited from my father. I am a singer-songwriter, musician, recording artist and record label owner myself.
Grandpa died before I could meet him but my mother said he was a very nice gentleman. There are many other recordings that you can see a list posted on

Grandpa did make the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame and when I was in Europe in 2005-2007 the people there knew his music too.
In 2013 my Grandfather's career is being honored at the Grammy (NARAS) Museum Los Angeles CA USA in the Columbia Records year long display
http://is.gd/LiUPxo. Dan Hornsby is noted as a singer, songwriter, musician, recording artist, engineer, producer, talent scout, A&R man for Columbia Records, as well as radio personality. Discovered many talented artists in his time and recorded them for Columbia / Bluebird Records. Google/Bing for more support verification & photos. He discovered music as well as artist of his time.

I'm honored to have the inheritance of his lifetime work that flows in my blood to carry on forward. Just wish I could have met him. Glad that the Grammy Foundation Organization, which shines above all others, has given Issac Daniel Hornsby recognition in helping American music be retained for all the generations today & for tomorrow.
